Pure Pilates General Terms & Conditions
After an assessment session and first class, clients who purchase passes or memberships may view their schedule and purchase further passes through our online service. Classes last for a minimum of 60 minutes. During the Covid outbreak all classes in the studio will be of 50 minutes to allow for thorough cleaning between clients.
All classes must be prepaid and clients agree to give 24 hours notice when cancelling and/or rescheduling. Therefore if you book into a class and then miss it or cancel less than 24 hours beforehand, you will be charged. Private one to one classes are subject to 48 hour cancellation otherwise you will be charged.
Classes are subject to availability; however, we will always try to accommodate you in your chosen class. If the class is full, you will be put on a waitlist, if you can it is always best to book another class to avoid disappointment.
Out of consideration to the instructor and others in the class, please arrive so that the class can start on time and you are able to participate in the warm up, which is an important part of the class. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late for the class, you may not be able to join in.
The purchase of a class pass entitles you to either 10 or 20 classes. It is flexible, allowing you book into any available class slot that you wish. In the case of a 10 pass it is valid for 3 months from the date of first use, 4 months for a 20 pass. Once the pass has expired, you will not be able to use it. Class passes are non refundable and non transferable. All passes including those purchased in the form of a Gift Certificate are activated on the day of the first class assigned to the pass. With respect to purchases of an assessment & pass as gift, use of the assessment appointment does not activate the pass, they are 2 separate entities.
Gift certificates can be purchased and assigned to a current / new client or can be purchased unassigned. Both will have a unique number which the management system we use will be able to trace, assign and activate. The certificate must be presented at the studio, or the assignee details if bought for a specific person, when booking.
Private one to one sessions are for one client with an instructor and last a minimum of 60 minutes. During the Covid outbreak classes will be of 50 minutes to allow for cleaning between clients.
Any marketing, educational or other materials of this nature whatsoever produced by the Pure Pilates in connection with the Studio and which are made available to Clients at the Studio will at all times remain the property of Pure Pilates and will be subject to the Pure Pilates copyright.
Pure Pilates accepts no liability for loss or damage to property of Clients or for injury to Clients on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.
Personal belongings are brought onto the Studio premises at the Client's own risk and the Pure Pilates does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.
Clients are requested to wear a form of dress appropriate to the practice of Pilates and Pure Pilates recommend that Clients wear stretch pants or shorts and a T-shirt or sports top. Clients should always attend sessions with non-slip soled socks - we do keep a good stock of Toesox for sale at the studios in a variety of sizes and colours. Footwear should be removed in the waiting area before entry to the studio itself.
Pure Pilates Fitness & Health Policy
If a client has any concerns over their physical condition they are advised to first seek medical advice. The Studio reserves the right to refuse access to any Client if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.
Clients with low/high blood pressure and/or cardiac irregularities should consult their GP prior to attending class. Clients must notify the Studio of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the Studio.
Clients must never walk around the Studio barefoot particularly if they have verrucas or similar foot complaints. Clients are required to follow the instructions of the teacher at all times.
Pure Pilates Refund Policy
Class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
10 and 20 passes which have expired, and the client has not used all of the credits, are non-refundable.
Classes booked either by email or at the studio, and subsequently cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the appointment or class, are not refundable unless in exceptional circumstances. Private one to one classes require 48 hours notice of cancellation.
Exceptional circumstances might be where the client has been advised by a medical practitioner not to continue with Pilates exercise, or where sudden illness or pain has caused them to have to cancel at short notice.
Pure Pilates reserves the right to either, offer a refund, another class, or another appointment where appropriate, should it be necessary to cancel a client's appointment or class.
Pure Pilates is committed to protecting your privacy both in the studio and online. Our teachers do have access to your profile so that your exercise in classes are appropriate to both your ability and physical condition.
When you purchase from and attend classes at Pure Pilates we will ask for your name, email address, geographical address and some other personal information which is crucial to the design of your sessions at the studio. Your contact details will be used for automatic reminders of appointments and sending out changes to schedule and studio news.
We do not sell your personal information to others at any time. All personal and credit card information is handled via our online management system and merchant services provider and is fully compliant with the EU GDPR.
Pure Pilates GDPR Policy
As a client of Pure Pilates Ilkley, we want to advise how we as a company will be handling your data to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
New Data Protection Legislation came into force in the UK on 25th May 2018. This General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is EU wide legislation, and in the UK is the 2018 Data Protection Act.
This legislation affects every business that handles personal data for clients or staff. Personal data has been defined by the act as ‘any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified’.
Pure Pilates is committed to protecting your privacy online. When you take classes at, or purchase from, Pure Pilates we will ask for your name, email address, geographical address and other personal health information which is important to ensure your safety whilst exercising. Our online management system, Acuity, manages the security of the data and is fully GDPR compliant.
We may also keep paper records of your individual exercise programmes at the studio, recorded using your name only, by the particular Pilates Teacher taking the class. This is done to ensure a continuous flow to your classes.
Your personal information, held online with our online management system, is securely protected and is accessed by our administrators and our teachers only. We do not share any information with any other person or company.
We do not sell your personal information to others. All online personal and credit card information is handled via our online management system, and our merchant services provider. These are both GDPR compliant.
We only use your data for the purpose for which it was collected.
To comply with our Business Insurance Policy we will hold your client records for at least 7 years following the last occasion on which you attended the studio. In the case of minors, it is advised that records should be kept for at least 7 years after they reach the age of majority (18). There are provisions under the GDPR with regards to keeping records in this situation. Online Classes during Covid-19
Ensure you have read and understood the different levels of the classes and only take the ones appropriate for you. If you are at all unsure as to what type of class would be suitable for you please contact the studio by email.
Please note our online group classes are not suitable for anyone who has not been signed off by a medical professional following injury, or other health issues which may affect your ability to exercise. If you are uncertain, please check first with your GP. Pure Pilates Ilkley will not be held responsible for any injury following our online sessions.
Individuals are responsible for themselves and need to skip or modify exercises as necessary. Classes are taken at your own risk.
Payments will be held on your Pure Pilates Ilkley account and are non-refundable. Once the studio is open credit on accounts can be used toward studio sessions.
Payments are valid for 3 months. If you currently have money on your account, or a positive balance from previous group class or private session passes, you can use this money to purchase online classes.
Please ensure you have enough space to move safely, so that nothing will obstruct your movement.
