Kirstin has been practising and teaching Pilates since 1997. As a dancer at the London Contemporary Dance School, Pilates was part of the daily conditioning routine. Her Pilates training has allowed her to travel and to work with a wide range of clients from celebrities to athletes; from clients who just wish to get fitter to those with chronic pain.

She has brought to Ilkley her extensive experience gained working in studios around the world, in London, New York, the Caribbean and Australia, and in Pilates Teacher Training. Kirstin has been Pilates Instructor to some well-known celebrities including Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York and Christie Brinkley.

"After all the years of teaching it still excites me to see the dramatic effect Pilates has for a client's confidence, and more importantly their quality of life. All my clients are taught Pilates as it was originally taught, on the equipment and progressing to Matwork which, if handled correctly, is superbly beneficial for them.

Safety is uppermost, together with developing an awareness of the body, whatever the ability of my clients. I spend an intensive time with everyone who comes to me, and it is very gratifying that this effort is rewarded by their progress and fitness.

I have been very lucky to have been taught by some of the best in the industry, including those taught by Joseph Pilates himself. I just want to share this knowledge."
